I really have too much to begin retelling at this point. I am in Damascus, VA right now and as I approach my October 31st finish date, I fear I will arrive in New Orleans without having caught up on my documenting. Such is life. I’ll do my best to write more soon, but as I often say on the trail, “no promises.”
I can’t believe you didn’t lose or destroy your glasses…no worries. You know how to get $5 glasses, right? I got to visit Alex and Kate a few weeks ago. An old friend from 30 years ago was sick of “hearing” me whine about not seeing the Baby boy in the Mark Twain play, so she gave me her Delta miles. Had a ball. They have an adorable set up, and wait till you see how hunky Alex looks all dollied up everyday with pomador on his hair and a bowtie. He’s found his style. We’re waiting for you to find your style now…Last week I checked out St. Mary’s GA. Kind of trying to figure out how to not be in the cold weather anymore, and my giant corporation owns a facility there. We had so much fun. Stayed with 2 Southern ladies who are Obama supporters….what’s that about…visited the islands that border the town, Cumberland, Jekyll and St. Simon, ate alot of shrimp, did a fair amount of drinking….I think I could dig it. We’ll see. You look great. Stay well. Love, Betty (the old bag who made you turn gay)
Betty you jinxed it! Just after your comment, my glasses got stepped on, then lost. So I’m arriving in New Orleans a squinty boy. But I’m glad to hear you had a good visit!
Hi Brendan,
Jim from Bird Mountain , seems like an age away, Funny how the simplest things live longer in the memory.
I haven’t checked a map so how far away from New Orleans are you. You definately seem to have had a ball so far.
Still sitting here with my other AT T-shirt on.
